2008 Call Response Times

In 2003 the average response time for a priority 1 call was more than 22 minutes.  Since first being elected a priority for Sheriff Cooke was to reduce call response times.  In 2008 the sheriffs office continued to reduce call response times by strategically placing patrol cars in different areas of the county which allows for a faster response to areas with known calls for service.

This strategy paid off as deputies continued to lower the response times again in 2008 from the levels documented in 2007.  With Weld County consisting of approximately 4000 square miles of land responding to some calls can be very time consuming but in 2008 the times decreased and the citizens of Weld County experienced a higher level of service.
