Professional Standards (Internal Affairs)

The Professional Standards Division, also known as Internal Affairs, is responsible for investigating complaints or allegations involving sheriff’s office personnel.  The complaints are either initiated internally or by someone not associated with the Sheriff’s Office.  At the conclusion of the investigation the findings typically result in the complaint being sustained, unfounded, or the employee receiving oral or written warnings, suspensions, reprimands, or terminations.
