Update: Milliken PD Officer Involved Shooting

This press release is being distributed on behalf of the 19th Judicial Critical Incident Response Team.

[Milliken, Colo.] – Working in cooperation with the 19th Judicial District, an arrest warrant has been issued for the suspect in last nights shooting. The suspect is currently under law enforcement supervision at a medical facility and will be transported to the Weld County Jail upon his release. Colin Brixius, 03/27/2006, of Milliken Colorado, now has an arrest warrant for the following charges:

Count 1: Assault in the first degree, a class 3 felony.

Count 2: Menacing, a class 5 felony.

All charges are merely accusations until proven guilty in a court of law.

The 19th Judicial Critical Incident Response Team will be handling this investigation. Det. Jackson Brunmeier with the Greeley Police Department is the lead investigator and can be reached at (970) 351-5352.
