WCSO Strike Team worked tirelessly and quickly to recover stolen explosives and equipment

[Greeley, CO]- On June 17th, 2024, a Weld County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputy responded to a call for service that involved the theft of explosives and equipment.

On the same day, the Sheriff’s Office Strike Team, along with Greeley Police Detectives, served a search warrant on a storage unit where investigators found evidence related to the theft of the stolen explosives. WCSO Strike Team members continued to diligently work this investigation and were able to track down the location of the stolen explosives and equipment to an address in Greeley.

On June 20th a search warrant was conducted on the suspected address in Greeley in collaboration with Greeley SWAT, members of Weld County SWAT, WCSO Patrol, and WCSO Strike Team. The search warrant resulted in the recovery of the stolen explosives and equipment from June 17th. This incident highlights the vigilance and proactive measures taken by law enforcement to maintain public safety.

The WCSO Strike Team will continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident and will work to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice. This is an active investigation, and no further information will be released.
