This press release is being distributed on behalf of the 19th Judicial Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT).
[Greeley, Colo.] – On August 18, 2024, at 3:09 p.m. the Weld County Sheriff’s Office detentions deputies found a 56-year-old male inmate unresponsive. Deputies administered CPR and requested medical staff to respond as well as paramedics. The male inmate was pronounced deceased. The Critical Incident Response Team responded to investigate.
This is an active investigation, and no further information will be released until the conclusion of the investigation. The Weld County coroner will release the identity of deceased pending the next of kin notification.
